Responsibilitiesincluded:

  • Conduct analyses of relevant federal, state, and local environmental requirements to ensure that professional engineering recommendations are in compliance with regulations and guidance.
  • International regulatory liaison with Vivendi. Worked with their Paris-based Generale des Eaux (CGE) Water & Wastewater R&D group to develop a prototype database used for establishing operating protocols for water facilities throughout the world.
  • Routinely provide environmental compliance training, prepared compliance manuals, and compiled environmental permits for public and private clients.
  • Manager of several hazardous waste site remediation feasibility studies, supervising staff and responsible for work plan and budget development, project implementation and coordination, project schedule, and management of budget and monthly cost-to-complete estimations.
  • Conduct numerous environmental compliance audits, identifying violations and making recommendations for compliance actions.
  • Prepare and implement community relations plans in association with hazardous waste sites.
  • As Chair of Planning and Resources Subcommittee, Woburn Hazardous Materials Advisory Board, conducted hazard assessments based on on-site chemical identification and quantification. Compiled this information for presentation to the Woburn Mayor and Local Emergency Planning Committee.
